Sometimes when you try to delete a file a dialog box pops up, saying : “Cannot delete such and such file: It is being used by another program”

It says: "File cannot be deleted"
So what causes such an error?
This may be because the file or program that you want to delete is open and you are using it, or it may be a system file, or it may be a virus that is executing on its own without your knowledge, or simply it may be windows error(this may happen to some video/audio files).
If you want to delete such a file, please follow these steps:
- If the file is open, then simply close it and then try to delete it.
- If this does not work, then open notepad
- Go to file menu, then choose open
- Ensure that the file type is set to “All files”
- Then DO NOT CHOOSE OPEN, instead RIGHT CLICK on the file
- Then choose delete from the drop down menu
- Go to the RECYCLE BIN and empty it.
And thats it.
This worked for me, so if it works for you also, then it is done. If this does not delete the file, then contact me!
